NOT Super Market frozen 2008 pecans, but this year's crop picked from the trees in the last 2 or 3 weeks.
Again this year, the First U Garden Committee is selling these super fresh nuts with all profits to benefit our church grounds. So, pecan pie lovers look for them to be available after the worship service on the next four Sundays -- just in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The one pound bags will sell for $10 and they make great gifts, as well as year-round hostess presents.

Hats off! to Martha Densmore. After lugging pecans for 25 years to benefit the scholarship fund of the Worcester Smith College Club, she is now willing to do it to benefit our church. These lowly and just-off-the-tree nuts are a useful, healthy and distinguished gift for anyone! Thank you Martha and Bill, who has always been essential helper!
